Nutritional deficiencies are more common than you think
Sometimes the most common childhood symptoms have a simple nutritional explanation — one that standard GP testing won't pick up.
For instance, did you know nearly 4 in 10 children in the UK don't get enough magnesium? It's one of the most overlooked deficiencies in children today, and it can show up as:
Poor or disrupted sleep
Anxiety, irritability or low mood
Difficulty concentrating or sitting still
Headaches or migraines
Low energy or persistent fatigue
Constipation or growing pains
Even the most carefully planned diet often falls short. Modern farming has depleted magnesium levels in soil, so even children who eat well may not be getting what their body needs.
A simple, non-invasive hair mineral analysis (just a small sample taken at home) can reveal what's missing. Where a deficiency is identified, the right food and supplement plan can make a meaningful difference.
If any of this sounds familiar, I offer a simple and easy Nutrition Foundations Package – a good place to start. Get in touch to learn more or use the booking link below.
The Nutrition Foundations Package
A science-led starting point for children and adults. Using non-invasive hair mineral analysis, this package uncovers the hidden deficiencies that standard testing can miss — and gives you a practical, personalised plan to start addressing them.
The package costs £395 and includes an initial consultation, home test kit, full results interpretation, a bespoke food and supplement plan, and a six-week follow-up.
This is not a quick fix. It's the beginning of understanding what's really going on. Click on the booking link for more details or contact me for a free call to discuss.
About me
I came to this work through two journeys: both my own, and my son's.
I've lived with chronic pain since I was 13. Years of appointments, surgery, and a lot of dead ends eventually led me to explore the connection between nutrition, stress, and the body. What I discovered changed everything — and ultimately led me to train in Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
It was my son's story that deepened my commitment to this work. As a baby he suffered with colic, and as he grew, something always felt slightly off — he was never quite as settled or as happy as we hoped he'd be. After seeing paediatricians who couldn't give us answers, we turned to functional testing and nutritional support. For the first time, we understood what was actually happening in his body. The changes that followed were profound — in his physical health, his behaviour, and his happiness. He is now a thriving, joyful boy.
That experience is why working with children and their families sits at the heart of what I do.
Before retraining, I spent years working as a chef on private yachts — long hours, high stress, little sleep, and the inevitable partying. I know what real life looks like, and I know how hard it can be to prioritise health when everything else is pulling at you.
That’s why you'll find no judgement here — ever. Whatever your habits, your history, or what you've tried before, nothing you tell me will come as a shock. I believe meaningful change comes from wanting to feel better, not from shame or perfectionism. My job is to help you understand what's happening in your body, and build something realistic and sustainable from there.
I’m a Registered Nutritional Therapist (DipCNM) and a fully accredited member of The Association of Naturopathic Practitioners. I am also a Associate Member of The Royal Society of Medicine. For my full Professional Bio view here.
If you're concerned about your child's health, or struggling with your own, there are answers out there that standard healthcare often can't reach. I’d love to help you find them. Get in touch or book a free call below.
